The student surgeon I had was great. The nurse I had was I think Karen or Karin, The nurse was great. I can’t remember her name, but she was Chinese Cantonese speaking and she was really supportive through the whole process of getting my wisdom teeth out. The student dentist was great using a slight humor and patients, doctor Sohail was great, very confident, very reassuring and very professional. Honestly, don’t know why they have a bad reviews. They are great over there. Got 4 teeth out

These people really treat you like opioid addicts they gave me 10 pills to last me a week and than decided to give me 5 more my face is so swollen my eye wants to close shut. So now I'm at the emergency room because they paperwork and jar doesn't add up. Lowest dose of pain killer. Disgusting people after giving me several stitches in my jaw that I can't drink eat or put ice or hot pack on my face.

TITLE: Mixed quality of service, outdated, expensive, and no price transparency (jaw surgery consultation) BRIEF SUMMARY: Scheduling challenges, charged >$500 out-of-pocket for basic consultation after quoting/charging me only $35 ahead of time. Poorly equipped exam room. Not the cleanest. Would not recommend. DETAILS: In 2024, for jaw correction surgery prep, I called to confirm which surgeons were in-network with my insurance because I’d learned my insurance’s provider status info was not reliable. The representative to whom I spoke was rude, seemed annoyed by me, said she couldn’t tell me if a doctor was in-network, and said there was no way I could communicate with the office of the doctor I asked about. This experience (and the terrible online reviews) scared me away from UCSF for over a year. Decided to give UCSF a second chance after encountering limited alternatives and having my orthodontist recommend it. Called back in late 2025. Experience was better, but I was told it could take 6 months for UCSF to process a referral before I could have an initial consultation. Decided to pursue consultation in January 2026, and I was again told referral processing could take up to

Dr Bast is the best surgeon. Hes' resident was also great. My overall experience was rocky but things took a turn for the better and got great over time. I am very happy with the result.. I received a special gift. My heart cant express the joy I feel. My dental journey will come to an end soon. Take a look at my picture. I look younger with the double jaw surgery. I. E Beware if you suffer with depression you will get extremely depressed after two weeks into the surgery.. Don't worry it will go away. Seek help..

I had surgery here at the end of November with Dr. Saghezchi, and I know there are a lot of poor reviews out there about this office and even about him. I’m here to be the one to say my experience has been nothing less than amazing. His resident was great as well, and my entire surgery went flawlessly I can actually breathe! One thing I really appreciated is that he listens to your goals for surgery. He doesn’t rush you, and he has absolutely no problem answering questions. He made sure I understood everything, and because of that, I wasn’t even nervous going into surgery he made me feel confident and cared for from the start. I’ve seen people call my surgeon “cocky,” but in my opinion he’s extremely confident in what he does and honestly, that’s exactly what you want from someone who is reconstructing your face. He’s earned every bit of that confidence. This is a man who has the skill level of someone who can rebuild faces in his sleep. I’m beyond happy with my results and with the surgeon I trusted for such a life-changing procedure. I don’t regret my choice for a second, and I would highly recommend Dr. Saghezchi to anyone considering surgery.
